On April 26, Mizuno announced that it will release the short distance spikes "CHRONO INX NEO JAPAN."
The spikes, which were jointly developed with Rio Olympics 4x100m relay silver medalist Shota Iizuka (Mizuno), use the highly resilient material "MIZUNO ENERZY LITE" in the midsole. Carbon sheets are placed inside the sole and on the sole of the foot to achieve both resilience and stability.
The "CHRONO INX" series has been popular with many top sprinters for over 25 years, but this is the first time that the series has a thick-soled spike. The combination of the rebound properties of the thick sole and a uniquely designed plate makes it easier to convert the rebound force from the ground into forward momentum.
